Boucher Forest
In 2013, Mary Boucher approached Bow Open Spaces with a heartfelt commitment to permanently protect a substantial portion of her land on Bow Center Road. Demonstrating extraordinary generosity, Mary donated a 44-acre permanent conservation easement to Bow Open Spaces. The Boucher Family’s land is a rich tapestry of beautiful uplands, wetlands, and stone walls. The property has a storied history, including a maple sugaring operation that has been part of its legacy over the years. A snowmobile trail traverses the property, maintained for public enjoyment by the Bow Pioneers Snowmobile Club. It is important to note that there is no other public access to this serene and preserved landscape, making it a unique and exclusive natural retreat. Mary Boucher’s contribution stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of conservation, ensuring the protection of this beautiful piece of Bow’s natural heritage.
